That was a pretty stunning day of betting, wasn’t it!
Both Rated races away fro Royal Ascot produced profit, the Market Movers were simply on fire and I think Andy put it best when he wrote in the e-mail that accompanied the screenshot, “Scintillating results”….hhe wasn’t wrong!
The profit achieved yesterday was the best singles days profit so far this season. It’s simply an indication of the fact that as we move into June, go through July and then through August, we produce the best three months results of the year.
I have to tell you what I did last night though….I just could not resist it.
In the Market Movers section you’ll have surely noticed this pair….
7-50 – OLIVER HARDY – 4/1 > 11/4
7-50 – FUNNY MAN – 13/2 > 4/1
Now, I long ago gave up believing in “coincidence” bets but here I am laughing my head off, singing Lonesome Pine and placing an Exacta….only because I was well up and not because that’s how I usually bet but, with both moving in the market, I had to….didn’t I?
So, Astech Gold are now already well on the way to £3k of profit having only hit £2k on Monday….but that’s how this works. As you win, your future staking reflects this and the profits become greater.
We really do have a problem with Royal Ascot. I’d started prepping the Hunt Cup before the official going change and had to amend it once. It needs amending again….and most likely would do for a fourth time, once we know the effects of the rain they’ve had since racing concluded yesterday.
They are due even more rain today.
I have binned those figures. My solo play in the Profiling I sent out last night will not enjoy that ground at all. I’m afraid it’s just a mess.
I have already decided I personally will not bet there this afternoon, save for the following:
2-30 – FINAL SONG
3-40 – MAGICAL
Two solo plays.
David Evans has already seen fit to withdraw one of the three in my dutch at 2-30pm, GOOD VIBES and I see no point in guessing what’s going to happen….the profits are far more important to me.
Only two horses in that race have winning form on soft ground. Only BRAND NEW DAY joins that one as a soft ground winner. One more has tried to win on it, PARTRIDGE….got stuffed.
Regarding the off meetings today.
Hamilton is a track I love working with but today that have a plethora of Class 6 races, which I will not work with, the handicaps I could work with are choc full of 3-y-o’s and I do not even consider looking at such races until after Royal Ascot has finished. We need to see what these 3-y-o’s have got hidden in their lockers before I can even begin to produce accurate Ratings for them.
I have a lone race from Ripon and a pair from Uttoxeter for you.
The markets have been absolutely dormant overnight and that’s simply reflective of the fact the rains have returned. One major layer hasn’t even bothered pricing up the meetings at Uttoxeter and Ripon.
What I can tell you is that there appears to be a gamble taking place on one horse. I’m not going to post it in the Market Movers section because I’m suspicious of it.
FRIDAY FIZZ…..opened around 66/1 last night, is now 14/1 this morning. It is owned by a a guy called Lee Bollingbrooke, who is a pro punter. It runs in the Ripon 9-20pm and I’ll watch to see what happens but I’ll not be getting involved myself.
So I’m afraid we have what we have. The rains start to disappear again from late afternoon and Ascot is going to have some lovely weather from tomorrow onwards. Let’s see what the ground does and act accordingly.
You will have full Profiling by 8-00pm this evening and my advice as to what to do with it.
Through the morning I will watch the markets like the proverbial hawk and if you need to be told of anything we can take advantage of, I’ll ping out a newsletter.
Have a great day!
