A loss of £9.65 suffered 27/08/19

On a day of many shock results, to get out with a loss of just £9.65 was outstanding.

I did say in my morning Newsletter that the racing looked “pants” and I’d suggest that was a very apt description.

We will have to deal with days like this during a season….several of them. That’s ok, managing a losing day and a winning day in exactly the same way has always been paramount….don’t get all excited when we win, don’t be looking for a cuddle, when we lose.

The evening results in particular, were seriously weird. When you see winners @ 100/1, 28/1, 18/1 then you know the layers are having a beano.

The screenshot doesn’t lie but it could have been much, much worse.

This was the contents of the newsletter that went out to my subscribed members this morning….

I’m aware it annoys one or two seeing, or hearing, how others have done on a given day and so you’ll only now see, or hear of that kind of thing, via the website.

In reality, it only matters to you how well you have done.Like I said yesterday, you’ll not make the same decisions I make, nor I the ones you make. Our bank sizes will be different, your choice of staking will be different, and you’ll make decisions about a race I will not, nor those of your fellow members.

I did a bit of jiggling about over there yesterday, after looking at the suggestions made for an alternative to WhatsApp. Thanks a bunch for taking the time to get back to me with those.

What I’m looking for is something extremely reliable, and free to use and, as I said to one member yesterday, “if the two can ever go together”

I think one of those suggestions might be the answer. It is called Telegram. What it would mean, of course, is you all downloading it to your devices.

Take a look, let me know what you think of it. I found that a few of you already do use it and it was good to chat for a few minutes with some I have not done so before.

It was a good day yesterday. I did say last weekend that this would be the week we could start working as usual and, as long as the weather is on our side, we should be ok.

We’ll still have good/indifferent/bad days but that’s never been any different.

TODAY

The racing is absolute pants today. Small fields, plenty of odds on shots wandering about, lots of Class 6, and I was not at all surprised to find just a handful of Market Movers overnight.

The mid morning update should be a barrel of laughs. The anticipation….bet you cannot wait!

Could be I’ll be dragging the hose through to water my garden this morning, cup of tea and a teacake on the decking, then over to my sons house to check things are ok.

They return home on Monday and Stacey will be back on duty from the following Monday. I imagine a couple of days refreshing her on what she’s doing here and then she’ll be up and running.

I’m about half way through the text for the digital brochure I want ready for October. Karen knows what’s coming and is looking to book a week away with her daughter so I can just do what I need to be doing. I cannot wait to get this next year rocking and rolling.

I was asked last week if I could send out again the details regarding payments for The Clover Club. I’ll be doing that tomorrow.

I’ll also remind everyone just what they will be getting in return. Last night I was looking at that and I must be stark raving mad.

? OVERNIGHT MARKET MOVERS ?

If any Market Movers are found in Rated races, simply set up the dutch in those races, as usual. For all Market Movers not in a Rated race, play 20/80 to the maximum number of places that enables you to obtain a profit from that play.
