And yet again, the racing is simply lousy today. I’m not sure what we’ve done to deserve this?
Yesterday we unfortunately lost the ground and you will have seen for yourself the market drift of MONTALVAN….5/1 > 12/1 on course. They simply could not give it away.
Nothing racing on turf today interests me at all but I’ve been looking at a couple at Chelmsford (not long now before I start introducing all weather Market Movers to the Newsletters), the first being CONSEQUENCES in the 2-30.
Recently withdrawn when it got all uppity in the stalls, Ian Williams has booked David Egan to ride this afternoon, and this is the trainers only runner here today.
Egan looks like the Williams “go to” man at this track right now….he’s given this jockey two rides here to date, he’s won on both of them.
It’s another race you’d never describe as being “great” and the “market mover” is CHOOKIE DUNEDIN….13/2 > 9/2….but CONSEQUENCES has been nibbled at….6/1 > 5/1….and he’s interesting as a 20/80.
The other horse I like here is SURF DANCER (3-00).
I hate these small field races, just four going to post here, but his debut fourth to MUMS TIPPLE now looks absolutely brilliant form, and he’s being smashed off the boards this morning….11/10 > 8/11
This horse is William Haggas’s only runner today, and he has a 25% strike rate with juveniles at Chelmsford.
He has booked James Doyle to ride….8-23 (35% strike rate for Haggas here)….and it’s a shame that odds against has gone.
Hopefully we get some decent racing to work with this weekend and I can pop one or two up for you that turn us all a profit.
