A little more success yesterday but I’m looking for something a lot better to put your way than those odds on shots. I’ve simply not had a lot to work with this week.
I’m looking at the Sandown 3-00 for my first today
Ryan Moore takes the ride on this one for Sir Michael Stoute and moving back up to a mile and down to Class 3, should see this one mighty hard to beat.
Moore and Stoute have “teamed up” here 56 times in the last five years and come away with 18 wins….a superb 32% strike rate.
The market is also speaking favourably and I’d expect it to win.
The next one Catching my eye is:
HIGH FLYING BIRD (Beverley 2-40)
there has been plenty of money for the Mark Johnston runner, FREYJA, in this race but I’m thinking PLACE ONLY play this one, will return a profit.
She went off favourite on debut but was beaten by three that all had previous experience of racing. Tom Dascombe has booked Ben Curtis to ride, something he has only done twice before….both won.
Last, but not least
More speculative….and a much bigger price…..
THREE COMETS (Beverley 2-05)
Been pretty poor so far this season but today they bang on first time headgear but, just as important, Varian has looked to get Jack Mitchell on board.
He rides this horse for the first time but whenever Varian looks to get hold of this rider, the horses are “off”. The trainer has only sent 14 horses here over the last five years….won with six of them.
He also runs SEZIM in the handicap I’ve rated….?
Best of luck today!
