Just one horse today, not already covered in the two Newsletters that have gone out, is “catching my eye” right now.
FANTASTIC MS FOX, in the very last race of the day (Musselburgh 7-30).
Not a great race by any means (it’s a Class6….hardly Shergar territory, eh), but the Fahey horse box is staying for this one and the trainer has a very healthy 19% strike rate with 3-y-o’s here.
He has booked Connor Murtagh to ride and right now, the jockey has a superb 30% strike rate at Musselburgh, on horses trained by Richard Fahey.
You would not be impressed with the current 0-4 ground and 0-2 trip stats this filly “boasts” but she is ultra consistent….if a little slow.
That statement though, goes for every runner in this race.
Her two runs in this grade, on turf, have produced a win and a place in the runners up spot so we can safely say, this is where she belongs.
It’s a near 400 mile round trip she’s making and if she does not at least claim a top three spot, there will be many long faces going home.
At the current odds of 7/2, she looks a good 20/80 to me.
