It’s really good to see Brendan Rodgers doing so well at Leicester and he’s got them near unbeatable at home and they’ve won their last 3 on the bounce there. If they win today they will have more points in the bag at this stage than they did when they won the league.
Burnley keep surprising me this season and as well as Leicester are doing they are only 2 points better off than their visitors today.
Leicester are odds on to win today and Burnley 6/1 which I think is daft given the form of the away side. They are unbeaten in their last 4 games, and have managed to hit the net in every game except against Liverpool. I guess it’s the fact Burnley have not won an away game in 2019 that has the bookmakers happy to give them away.
Only Liverpool, City and Chelsea have managed to bag more points than Leicester since Rodgers took over and he really has got Vardy firing again. He has scored 10 in his last 10 home games. This year only Mane and Aguero have scored more home goals.
What I’m finding interesting is that 10 of the 14 goals Leicester have scored this season have come in the 2nd half of a game. Looks like Rodgers has them set up to come strong in the last 45 minutes.
The fact Burnley have only managed 1 clean sheet in their last 16 away games suggests Vardy might make it 11 in 11 home games at least today and I see a home win, just.
Leicester to win/both teams to score @ 13/5
Leicester to win 2/1 @ 7/1
