Gary Moore is another trainer I like to keep an eye on and this one will hopefully be back racing on the flat because off 88, he’s a handicap certainty.
He has been brought along in the style of a handicapper, his first three runs being absolute pants.
Three runs as a juvenile, handicap mark achieved, put away.
Two runs, two wins in low grade stuff at Brighton and Sandown, upped greatly in trip….then put away again.
After a break of 138 days, this has undergone an almost Steve Austin-like transformation and in all runs since that return, he has not won by less than seven lengths.
As a hurdler he’s simply top drawer and he would have won the Triumph Hurdle by a good 20 lengths, had he not clipped his own heel after jumping the last.
Looking at that last screenshot you would be forgiven, for thinking he needs cut but his handicap debut win was on genuine good ground, and he went in by 12 lengths.
Quite simply, if Moore does send him back to the flat this season, he’s going to take some beating.
